The quite place invites to dwell, watersports and bathing are forbidden, however. In winter the pond can be used as an ice skating ground. Until 2008 the pond was owned by the Agrargemeinschaft (agricultural community) of Gut Landschach, afterwards it was acquired by the communals of Kobenz and Knittelfeld in equal shares.
