In and around Knittelfeld are many hiking and rock climbing possibilities. From leisure walks through the plains, pleasant hikes in the surrounding hills and challenging tours on the mountains, to indoor and outdoor rock climbing experiences, there is something for every nature lover.

The Naturfreunde (nature friends) division of Knittelfeld offers a wide range of hiking and ski tours, as well as organizes climbing courses and events at the indoor climbing facility at the Landschacher Elementary School.
