The forest school Knittelfeld was built in a height of 1000 metres on a forest glade. In the school, children learn about nature, the forest and animals at close quarters.

Beyond weekends, feast days and holidays, short-dated changes are possible.
The highest tree-top experience course of europe is located in the middle of Rachau with a view to the surronding mountains and hills, meadows, forests and church steeples in the vicinity. The eventful course leads 2,7 km through untouched nature. The highlight is the "Wipfelwanderweg", a massive construction of larch wood, about 20 metres high with staircases, towers, bridges and platforms.
